Nursing Home Litigation 2021 Seminar – In March of 2021, as part of a seminar entitled “Nursing Home Litigation 2021”, Jason Platt, Esq. published and lectured for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association on the issue of punitive damages. It was well attended by both the plaintiffs’ and the defendants’ bar. The lecture covered the law relating to punitive damages in nursing home cases, pleadings and motions to dismiss, and the practical application of the law to proving punitive damages in nursing home cases. Given that the law and tradition in New York State is that punitive damages are not generally recoverable in an injury matter of any kind, Jason’s work and particular knowledge in this area of law is groundbreaking. This is one of the many ways in which Doolan Platt & Setareh, LLP lead the way in nursing home litigation. Attorneys may purchase the seminar to receive 4 Skills CLE credits, https://www.nystla.org/?pg=store&sa=ViewDetails&ItemID=16281&cat=2954
