Confidential Settlement – Nursing Home Negligence – for a New York City woman who suffered Stage IV pressure ulcers.
Confidential Settlement – Nursing Home Negligence – for the rape of a 90 year old resident by an aide while the resident was in the nursing home unit of a hospital. The aide was later convicted of rape

$1,350,000 – Settlement – Medical Malpractice – failure to diagnose and treat “Steal Syndrome” in diabetic resulting in finger amputations.
$1,300,000 – Settlement – Premises Liability – festival accident. A child participant was stabbed in eye by blade during interpretive dancing resulting in partial blindness in one eye.
$1,000,000 – Settled PreTrial – Nursing Home Abuse – A Department of Health investigation found that a dementia resident’s aide roughly handled her, was abusive and aggressive, causing plaintiff to fall, fracture her hip and die the next day. Kings County, September 2019.
$975,000 – Settlement – Medical Malpractice – for a 57 year old resident who was recovering from a head injury. The facility failed to supervise the resident who suffered a fall resulting in a subdural hematoma with permanent loss of mobility, vision and function.
$950,000 – Settlement – Motor Vehicle – plaintiff was in the process of securing his car to a tow truck, when he was hit by his own car, which had been rear-ended by another vehicle. Plaintiff sustained head and shoulder injuries.
$850,000 – Settlement – Nursing Home Negligence – for an Air Force Veteran with Parkinson’s Disease who suffered significant pain from bed sores. The facility had been cited in 2018 by the Department of Health for neglecting its residents as related to skin, incontinence and pressure ulcer care. They had even uncovered fraudulent records related to the care given to our plaintiff. Columbia County, August 2020.

This particular facility was cited by the NYS Department of Health for several deficiencies including insufficient staff, medication errors and in not having proper management of said facility. This was a grossly mismanaged facility.

$125,000 – Settlement – Nursing Home Negligence – for a 24 year old autistic man who was assaulted by a staff member of a residential treatment center in Upstate New York.

$37,000 – Settlement – Nursing Home Negligence – for a 93 year old resident who endured pain and suffering as a result of a medication error.
$30,000 Settlement – Nursing Home Negligence – for a resident who suffered bruising and swelling from a fall while being transferred. There was no serious injury.
$30,000 – Settlement – Nursing Home Negligence – for a resident who fell backwards from her wheelchair while being attended to by aides. She suffered a laceration requiring stitches with no visible scarring because it was on her scalp.
Defense Verdict – Nursing Home Negligence – An upstate 93 year old woman with Alzheimer’s disease died in a nursing home from renal failure caused by dehydration. The jury didn’t think the nursing home was at fault and ruled in favor of the nursing home.
